Backing up online has never been simpler and cheaper with our computer backup services

A lot of clients we see make a backup using flash drives. While this is a good thing to do, it isn’t done often enough to keep up with new files and flash drives are easily broken or lost. So are external USB hard drives unfortunately. We get broken external hard drives in for repair a lot. These devices are also lost in the event of a catastrophe like a fire or tornado. We call this type of backup is called a ‘local backup’. Local backups one advantage is that they are quick to recover a file or all files from.

Many are also using a solution similar Dropbox, Google Drive or iCloud. These are great services but they are not a true backup solution – they are file synchronization tools. When a file is deleted or changed and it’s synced online – you can not recover the old version. Ransomware, one of the worst of the viruses these days, makes file changes to all of your files and if the computer syncs these changes all of your files are lost.

A true online or cloud backup works all of the time making a backup of each file or folder created by the user. You can have more than one version of the same file stored so you can go back if you need to. Your backup being stored on multiple servers across the USA in data centers means if a natural disaster occurs at your place or one of the data centers, you data is still intact.

We offer two solutions to fit your needs.

  • We have a $60/year system backup you can set up and use to recover individual files or your whole computer. You can access these files online or in an app on your smartphone. Up to 1 TB storage limit.
  • We offer, starting at $5/month depending on storage amounts, a managed online backup service. We install it and set it up to cover all of your files you request and monitor the backup to ensure it is running. The big advantage here is that you don’t have to do anything at all in this process. If there is a problem, we will know so you’re not in the position of thinking you have a backup but it was never done or is an old copy of a file. This is a true set-it-and-forget-it solution, we handle it all. We encourage small businesses to use this if they don’t have an IT technician.
